The Sights Were Amazing! Thanks for a Great Time!

I received this email from Aileen and Mike shortly after their airboat ride yesterday… that was sure quick!  And their right – the weather was incredibly beautiful yesterday, a perfect day to be on the water.

WOW!!!  What a great 2 hour trip we had, the sights were amazing, the weather was perfect and Captain Harold is very knowledgeably about the area and wildlife and knows where to find it.  Your team is top notch and operates in a very professional manner.  The airboat, along with headsets were great, this has been the best time since we have been in Florida.

We commend you for a great time and continued success and will recommend your trip to all who plan on visiting the area.  Again, thanks for a great time.

Otter Jumps and Grabs a Fish Right in Front of Us!

We had such a fun day on the airboat Monday!  The weather was picture perfect and our passengers had a fantastic time.  Just as the airboat was pulling up to the dock to unload our passengers an otter made an appearance… he jumped up and grabbed a dead fish that was right by the dock – and fortunately for us, Adam happened to be right there to snap a photo of the cute little critter.

Speaking of Adam… here’s an email he sent to us, along with his great wildlife photos (remember to click on the photos to make them larger!):

Dear Debi -

Greetings from the Renwick’s, we are still talking about how much we enjoyed our trip with you and Captain Harold on Tuesday, it still beats all the theme parks in our opinion. We have also been talking about when we come back to Florida we will ride with you again.

As we promised, here are some photos from our trip. I have attached the pictures of the eagle and otter and some others we thought were quite good.

Thanks again for a brilliant day, The Renwick’s, United Kingdom

Yep, That’s a Huge Gator!

Maybe you remember me mentioning that I need a new camera to get better photographs of the wildlife we see on our airboat rides to share with you.  Okay, so you don’t recall that blog.  No worries… just remember when you see Captain Harold to tell him I need a new camera.  Glad that’s out of the way.

Moving on…  here are some fantastic photos that Suzi Asmus, from Portland, Oregon took while our on “Florida Cracker” Airboat Tour in November.  Evidence of her superior camera (and photography skills) is obvious from the photos below.  These photos are so crisp and clear, this gator looks like he’s ready to jump out of the computer and snap me up!

Actually this big guy loves to hang out in a canal we pass through to get to the Dead River.  We see some big gators in that canal!  Here’s some of the photos of the big guy himself, and remember to click on them to make them larger so you can see what great photos they are!

It’s About Time!

Warm up complete!  Captain Harold just told me that the gators are out sunning again!  WHEW.  Can I tell you how happy this makes us?  Life is good on the airboat again.

I will not mention the “cool” weather we had again, as it is over, done, finished.  I will share one funny story with you though… we Floridians try to protect our fragile tropical plants by putting sheets and blankets over them when it’s chilly.  Some of our passengers from Canada thought it was just our “unique” way of hanging our laundry out to dry!

Warmth.  Sunshine.  Normal temperatures.  Highs in the 70s in January.  Life is good!
