We Saw So Many Alligators!

Here’s a new 5-Star Trip Advisor review.  I just love how Jo and Frank describe the big “people mover” airboats – we call them an airbus or barge airboat, but I really like this new description and plan to use it!  And Jo, you’re so right – you can’t enjoy the breathtaking beauty of Florida’s swamp when you’re stuffed on an airboat with 15 other people for a 30 minute ride.  We call those type of rides, thrash and trash, and it’s no wonder their passengers never see any wildlife!

This was one of the most fun trips my husband and I have had. Capt. Harold made the trip relaxed, fun and so very informative.

Being from the North the hunt for alligators was the priority. We lost count of how many we saw.

We saw other of the big “people mover” boats on the trip, but I could not even begin to imagine how these boats stuffed with people could really appreciate the sites and beauty of the area.

If you want a fun trip that is very reasonably priced don’t hesitate to book your trip with the Spirit of the Swamp!

Its Canadian Spring Break in Florida!

Its Canadian Spring Break this week.  We can’t catch our breath!  Canadians have arrived in Florida and it seems like every single family wants to take an airboat ride on Sprit of the Swamp!

I feel so bad when we can’t accommodate same day reservations.  I want to, I really want to.  But you have to know that there are limitations to how many hours are in the day.  And how much fuel the airboat will hold.

We sure are making some great Canadian memories this week… and again, I apologize if you called and we couldn’t schedule your airboat this ride this week.  But please call us when you’re planning your spring break in Florida next year!  Call us early.  Please?

There I feel so much better.  I hate to disappoint people, really I do.

Wish We Were Still in Florida!

I received this email and some great airboat ride photos and wanted to share them with you:

Can you lighten up a bit Captain Harold?  At least give us a smile?

Okay, that’s better!  And yes, we’re keepin it real here folks.  He is wearing a coat, and it was a bit NIPPY in February.  Just the honest truth here, as always.

The First Airboat Ride of the Day, Now That’s What We’re Talking About!

We got a phone call from some passengers requesting a reservation for the first airboat ride of the day tomorrow morning… now that’s what we’re talking about!  If you’re making a reservation in advance, we’ll always recommend the best starting time – early in the morning – on the first airboat ride of the day.

Maybe they read our blog and know that we’ve often said that booking an early trip is the most optimum time to see wildlife, especially in the summertime.  It’s also cooler than later on, in the heat of the day, a much more pleasant tour experience.   Whether they read the blog or not, they’re in for a wonderful experience early tomorrow morning!
