Definitely the Best Airboat Ride!

I’ve officially claimed yesterday and today to be “DIBB VIP” days.  This proclamation was announced to Captain Harold and he agreed.  So there!

We love The DIBB (Disney Information Bulletin Board) and the feeling is mutual.  Can you feel the love?  Anyway… yesterday we met Kate and Phil on holiday from Bristol, England.

I received this email yesterday from Kate:

Thank you so much for our tour this morning.  We thoroughly enjoyed it and you were wonderful hosts and tour guides.  We have done air boat rides before but this was definitely the best by a long way.  Your care and attention really made it a thrilling experience for us.

We sincerely hope the restriction situation resolves itself very quickly and the new venture you talked about comes to fruition.

Kindest regards

This Airboat Ride Ticked all the boxes for Our family……..

I recieved some new photos and a email that I wanted to share with you:

I hope all is well, we are back in the UK and feeling the cold.  We do miss the Florida warmth, both climate and the welcome.

I have attached some photo’s if they are any use to you.

Special treat for us was to see a bald eagle not attached to an arm and if that wasnt enough we were also lucky to see a snail kite feeding.

All on a well maintained safe airboat.

Ticked all the boxes for this family…….. If anyone has any reservations about using this company feel free to message me.

I am still getting people contacting me on the Dibb for more info on our experience so there is alot of interest in your company.

I will keep an eye on your website and look forward to our next trip to Florida - there is no question about coming for another ride we will be there.

Take care and chat soon

Alligator Hunting Season is Here Again

Call me a rebel, but I don’t like gator hunting season.  Never have.  Captain Harold doesn’t hunt gators (yet anyway) but he has gone on some nighttime scouting trips with friends of his who DO gator hunt.

Since part of our job as an airboat ride company is showing our passengers gators, I think we should just leave them all alone.

Besides I don’t want blood on the airboat.  Just kidding!

I know we need the hunting to keep the gator population under control – it’s definitely bounced back from being on the endangered list years ago.  In fact, hunting gators has been legal in Florida since 1988.

Florida Fish and Wildlife estimates there are 1.3 million gators lurking in the Sunshine State.  And 6,000 gator hunting licenses.

I’ll never tell where the big ones are hiding.  In fact, I’m rooting for their survival.

Be careful gators.

Be very careful.

Finding Family Serenity the Natural Way – on an Airboat!

Finding Family Serenity the Natural Way – on an Airboat!

Getting outside and surrounding yourself with Florida’s natural beauty will not only lift your spirits  – it’s actually proven that nature helps people (dare we say kids?) behave better, according to a recent study.  Researchers found that the more people engage with natural settings, the more they valued community and closeness to others.  Imagine family serenity and closeness, just by connecting with the Florida outdoors!

Riding an airboat is one way to get you up close to all of Florida’s breathtaking swamps and marshes… there isn’t another place on earth like it!   Our passengers tell us all the time:  “riding an airboat is so relaxing!”  Actually it would be more accurate to say that riding an airboat is a combination of relaxation and exhilaration!  The way an airboat glides across the water, even at high speeds, is so smooth and soothing.

And the scenery is so breathtakingly beautiful; it definitely will put you and your family in a “Zen” state of mind.     The tranquil cypress trees with their gently swaying Spanish moss, the blue sky and puffy white clouds, the wind in your face, the smooth water, well YES, it definitely is relaxing out here!  A big change of pace from the traffic and crowds near the theme parks…

Now that you know the hidden benefits of connecting with nature, make sure to allow some family time to connect with our beautiful outdoors and you’ll feel your stress levels just slip away!
