Each of our airboat adventures is different and nothing is staged. With Spirit of the Swamp, you get the true Florida experience complete with amazing wildlife, and stunning scenery!

There’s never any charge for a weather related cancellation, we issue an immediate refund in full.  If you’d like to rebook, we’ll do our best to reschedule you to a different day. We recommend you book early in your vacation or holiday so that you’ll have time to reschedule – just in case Mother Nature has other plans.

In the spring and summer you should dress like you would for any other outdoor activity, sunglasses are always a great idea!  In late fall and winter, dressing in layers works best as it always feel cooler when you’re moving across the water. . .

Spirit of the Swamp specializes in a smaller, more personal airboat experience. Our boats carry a maximum of just 6 passengers, so guests are not packed onto a large tour boat. The smaller group size gives families and small groups a more personal way to experience the Florida wetlands, see wildlife, take photos, and interact with their captain throughout the tour.

Yes. Groups of 4 or more can enjoy their own private boat, subject to availability and the tour option selected. This makes Spirit of the Swamp a great choice for families, couples traveling together, and small groups who want a more private experience.

Yes. Our small-group format is designed to provide a comfortable and personal experience for families. Because there are no more than 6 passengers on a boat, families can enjoy the adventure together without the feel of a large, crowded tour.

Yes. Guests use two-way headsets that make it easy to hear the captain, ask questions, and communicate during the tour. This allows the captain to point out wildlife and share information even while the airboat is operating.

Alligators live naturally in the wetlands we explore, and they are one of the animals guests frequently hope to see. Because these are wild animals in their natural habitat, wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed. Depending on conditions and the time of year, guests may also see bald eagles, wading birds, turtles, snail kites, and other native Florida wildlife.

Both tours provide a small-group airboat experience through the Florida wetlands. The 90-minute tour gives guests additional time on the water to explore more of the area and enjoy more opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography. Guests who want the most complete wildlife experience may prefer the longer tour.

With a maximum of 6 passengers, guests have more room to see, photograph wildlife, communicate with the captain, and enjoy the wetlands as a small group. Our goal is not simply to provide an airboat ride, but a personal wildlife experience in the real Florida.

Wildlife and the natural Florida environment are a major part of the experience. Our captains can slow down and stop when wildlife is spotted, giving guests time to observe, learn, and take photographs when conditions allow. Every tour is different because the wildlife is wild and the wetlands are constantly changing.
