Great Family Adventure

Our family had a terrific time exploring Lake Tohopekaliga with Captain Kevin on a 90 minute ride. We saw a great range of wildlife, from alligators to bald eagles to snakes and more. Captain Kevin was entertaining and informative throughout. It really was an ideal way to spend some time with nature as a break from the theme parks! Why we chose this location out of all the others?? It was that it was a private boat . . And they don’t charge you extra for that. Well done Spirit of the Swamp Airboat.

Great Airboat Tour

After checking multiple companies that offer these airboat tours we chose Spirit Of The Swamp after reading some great reviews and seeing they do the smaller more personal boats, we weren't disappointed, we shared our boat with another couple. We saw many many Gators, some as close as a few meters away, we saw some turtles and a lot of different birds including a bald eagle and Turkey vultures, the 90 minute tour was well worth the price and really enjoyable. This was an amazing tour.

What a Blast!

The company website allows you to enter your contact information, they then interact via email for finalizing reservations. Capt. Ken a former Marine with tons of information about our natural surroundings and ecosystems. We have headsets, stopping along the way to answer any questions and explain habitats past and present. We really lucked out seeing babies and a full grown gator. Absolutely beautiful scenery, birds, and the thrill of skimming along the water and over vegetation.

Highly Recommend Spirit

We found Spirit of the Swamp Airboat Rides on Trip Advisor and they were absolutely amazing! - 5 Stars all the way!! We went out Sun Mar 2, 2025 and our Boat Captain was Roy and we had such a nice tour to see not only all sizes of alligators but also a beautiful array of various water marsh and shore birds and turtles. He is very safety conscious and extremely professional and knowledgeable. The boat was a great size for going all over and holds a max of 6, so much better than boats holding a lot more people.

Awesome Airboat Ride

This was the best experience we had on our holiday . We absolutely loved going on the airboat and seeing big and baby gators. Our guide was awesome. Very respectful to the animals not to upset them but we got up close and personal with a couple of big boys. We also saw some storks with their baby and other wildlife living in the swamp. Wished we had more time to do another. Would recommend the 90 min ride as it goes so quick and highly recommend this company for a personal experience!
